Who we are?

Jyoti Malhotra is Founder-Editor of @AwaazSouthAsia, a journalist with nearly 40 years of experience in print, TV, radio and online media. She has worked with some of India’s top newspapers, like the Indian Express and Times of India, in Moscow, Russia, and in New Delhi. She is a guest contributor to BBC Radio, ThePrint news website and Business Standard online.

Nirupama Subramanian is Founder-Editor of @AwaazSouth Asia, an award-winning journalist who has worked in Sri Lanka and Pakistan for India’s top newspapers The Hindu and Indian Express. Her work includes reportage from Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Tamil Nadu. She is the author of ‘Sri Lanka : Voices from a War Zone’, the story of the civil war in Sri Lanka, published in 2005.
